Overview

Established in 1945, the Real Estate Institute of Zimbabwe (REIZ) is a unique, member driven organisation that aims to unite in one body all persons practicing various disciplines of the profession of real estate. REIZ offers to its members an unsurpassed level of experience, commitment and dedication to the real estate industry in Zimbabwe. REIZ members are governed by the Institute’s Code of conduct to ensure that the Institute’s values are upheld and a high standard of business practice is delivered.

Objectives

To unite in one body all persons practicing various disciplines of the profession of real estate such as estate agency, valuation, auctioneering and property management.
To secure the advancement and facilitate the acquisition of that knowledge which from time to time constitutes the professions of estate agency, valuation, auctioneering and property management, in all these aspects and to maintain and promote the usefulness of these professions for the public advantage.
To protect and promote the general interest of its members and the professions of estate agency, valuation, auctioneering and property management.
To promote the highest standards of professional ethics and conduct of its members.

Regions

The determined regions shall be as follows, the geographical regions, as described in terms of the Provincial Councils and Administrations [Chapter 29:11], and any amendments thereto, shall be (the first name representing the Institute’s definitive and the names in brackets representing the defined provinces within the aforesaid Act):

  • Manicaland (Province of Manicaland)
  • Mashonaland (Provinces of Harare, Mashonaland Central, Mashonaland East and Mashonaland West);
  • Masvingo (Province of Masvingo);
  • Matebeleland(Provinces of Bulawayo, Matebeleland North and Matebeleland South); and
  • Midlands (Province of Midlands)
